Public Works Director Job Opening

The Town of Jones City is currently accepting resumes for Public Works Director. Salary Range- $52,145 to 72,155 annually. This position performs complex supervisory, administrative, and professional work in planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the Public Works Department, including water, sewer, natural gas, street, municipal garage, and other public works projects and programs. Responsible for developing long-term community infrastructure and utility improvement plans.

The position requires a high degree of organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to complete independent projects as well as to work in a team environment, and the adaptability to multi-task. Must have excellent written and oral communication and the ability to deal effectively with a wide array of stakeholders.

Desired minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, public administration, or other related field, plus four years of public works management experience. Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.

Licensing standards required- ODEQ Class C Water and Wastewater Operator Certification. Municipal Gas Utility Operator Qualified to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission standards.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. Aptitude to learn Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping Software.
