On behalf of the Jones Board of Trustees, I would like to thank the voters of our town for the support and trust you have instilled in us by approving a .01c sales tax increase for the “Capital Improvements” for our town! As stated in our campaign for the tax, we are beginning the process of improving our water and wastewater system. The first step was taken, by both the Jones Public Works Authority and the Jones Board of Trustees, at our Aug. 3rd meeting when we voted to approve the loan application with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board.
In the spirit of full transparency, we will report on the progress of the water/wastewater improvements as they become available. We will, also, post a financial summary after they are made available to the board.
Today I attended the Oklahoma Water Resources Board meeting where they approved the “State Loan Program Revenue Bond Loan Funding Application for Jones Public Works Authority.”
This is an exciting time for our town and our future! Below is the action that was taken at the Aug. 3, 2021 meeting.

CONSIDER AND TAKE ACTION WITH RESPECT TO A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF JONES CITY, OKLAHOMA (THE “TOWN”) APPROVING ACTION TAKEN BY THE JONES PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY (THE “AUTHORITY”) AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE, SALE AND DELIVERY OF A PROMISSORY NOTE OF THE AUTHORITY TO THE OKLAHOMA WATER RESOURCES BOARD; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A LEASE AGREEMENT AND OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE TOWN AND THE AUTHORITY; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A SALES TAX AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE TOWN AND THE AUTHORITY PERTAINING TO A YEAR-TO-YEAR PLEDGE OF CERTAIN SALES TAX REVENUE; AND CONTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO.
